Facility Director Jobs description
A facility director guides the daily activities of the facility services department. A facility director performs a variety of tasks like overseeing housekeeping, laundry, operation and maintenance of medical assisted living health facilities. Other duties of a facility director job include budgeting, staff management, and ensuring adherence to state regulations.A facility director job may also include supervising and coordinating building management projects, including renovation and construction of new medical facilities.
Periodic inspecting of the existing facility, approving necessary repairs and recommending enlargement of existing facilities are also part of a facility director’s job.
A facility director may also communicate with the family of patients regarding their progress and treatment, and listen to their complaints, ideas and suggestions.
A facility director job may require a bachelor’s degree in psychology, hospital administration, or a related field. Professional experience in the healthcare field is preferred. Leadership qualities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and knowledge of the modern methods of treatment are the other requirements of the job.
