Contract Jobs description
Contract jobs openings are available to therapists, generally on part-time basis, in hospitals, nursing homes, private clinics, and assisted living care centers. Contract therapists may also work for a private therapy services company, which may assign them to various facilities as per their requirements.A contract physical therapist is responsible for planning, developing and implementing treatment programs to help patients suffering from debilitating diseases, injuries and orthopedic conditions, to lead normal and independent lives. It is the duty of the contract job holder to coordinate and liaison with full-time and permanent colleagues and personnel, to arrive at vital decisions regarding a patient’s training and therapy.
Applicants for contract jobs in therapy must be holders of a bachelor’s degree in therapy (physical/ occupational/ speech, etc.) from an accredited college. A valid license to practice is also important. Patience, good oral and written skills and a caring and open nature are the other qualities exhibited by a person working in a contract job
