Orthopedic Physician Jobs description
An orthopedic physician position may be available with a hospital, clinic, or public health department. An orthopedic physician is responsible for providing patients with medical treatment to recover from physical ailments relating to bones. Specific duties of an orthopedic physician include examining the patient, finding out the exact place and reason for the ailment, finding out the severity of the problem, giving the appropriate treatment to the patient with assistance from medical assistants, prescribing medicines to the patient, keeping track record of the patient's health, meeting patient's family members, advising the patient and family members and performing other tasks as required. An orthopedic physician typically reports to a medical officer.An orthopedic physician should have completed a full course in the area through a recognized university leading to a master's degree. Excellent academic credentials are essential. Prior experience from an orthopedic physician role is advantageous.
