Physical Therapy Technician Jobs description

A physical therapy technician position may be available with a a hospital, medical center, public health center, or a physical fitness center. A physical therapy technician is responsible for interviewing patients, collecting patient history, preparing patient and equipment for treatments, assisting in carrying out various treatment procedures, recording patient information in various stages, assisting in supervision of patients, ensuring that there is adequate supply of materials, changing linens, cleaning and maintaining equipments, helping patients in various treatment related issues and performs other duties assigned by the therapist. A physical therapy technician typically reports to a physiotherapy manager.
A physical therapy technician should have a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy. Excellent academic credentials are essential. Prior experience in physical therapy may be helpful. A physical therapy technician may also be referred to as a physiotherapy assistant, physiotherapy receptionist, or physiotherapy associate.
