PHYSICAL THER-RESOURCE I - CHI Health Mercy','Per Diem','Professional Clinical/Allied Health','Weekends and Holidays','Weekends and Holidays','0','0','Every Other','Every Other','IOWA-COUNCIL BLUFFS-MERCY CB','','!*!The Physical Therapist is a licensed professional whose primary responsibility is to plan and administer medically prescribed or referred physically therapy treatment programs for patients to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part. S/he also administers and directs administration of physical agents utilized in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Guides and directs nonprofessional and professional personnel assigned to assist with patient therapy programs. Communicates patient progress to appropriate professionals to assist in determining future needs and discharge planning. Provides supervision to students during their clinical training. Provide input to Therapy Coordinator in departmental planning.
Objective: To ensure adequate Physical Therapy staffing needs are met during weekend and holiday shifts so that we can provide the highest standard of rehab care to our patients.
The pay rates for each commitment level are fixed except when working on the actual day that the below holidays fall on which will be paid at 1.5x.

*Weekend day is the equivalent to 8 hours. May require travel between campuses. If you work more weekend shifts than your commitment in 1 month you will receive $50 per extra weekend shift.
**Minor holidays are New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day
***Major holidays are Thanksgiving and Christmas Day
****Working a holiday that falls on a weekend does not fulfill the holiday and the weekend commitment; it fulfills one or the other.
*****If the holidays are fully covered with core staff, then the resource therapist will be obligated to an additional shift near a holiday, and this will count as one of their holidays.','Education/Licensure Require a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy School with any of the following degrees or combination of these degrees: BS, MS, MPT or DPT. Must be licensed in the State of Nebraska or Iowa as a Physical Therapist; must be licensed in the state of practice. BLS or BLS instructor certification is required upon hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Red Cross: CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, American Safety and Health Institute: CPR, PRO, must say “Professional Level-with AED”, and American Heart Association: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.','We’re an equal opportunity employer.
