Physical therapist jobs are usually offered in hospitals, physical therapist clinics, retirement homes, and rehabilitation centers. The demand for physical therapists is great as ever. Physical therapists jobs are to help patients affected by certain diseases, aging and trauma. Their goal is to help alleviate muscular pain, improve muscle movement and mobility. Physical therapists often work with teams of therapists and recommend treatments accordingly. Physical therapists also monitor the patient’s recovery and development and treatment outcomes.

To be a physical therapist, you must have a master’s degree or a PhD in physical therapy which includes study of physics, biology, and chemistry. Since physical therapy is a specialized profession some courses must be completed such neuroanatomy, pathology and diseases, therapeutic procedures, biomechanics, and human development and growth. Taking a national of state programs exam is an important step. There are continuing studies and workshops that are required in some states.

Physical therapists can be an independent contractor, work in a hospital, insurance company, and clinics for up to 40 hours a week. Large areas are a physical therapists typical workspace because of the comprehensive therapy programs and works with a team of other medical experts.
