Instructions

Step One: The first thing you will need to do is find out what you would like your clinic to focus on. Do you want to specialize in helping patients that are suffering from chronic illnesses, like migraines and sciatica? Or do you want to help those that have pain from fatal illnesses? Once you figure this out, ensure that everyone knows the new focus of the clinic and then hire more professionals if needed.

Step Two: You will have to keep good communication open with the primary physician. When the doctor recommends a patient to a pain management clinic, it is your responsibility to relay messages back and forth about the patient's progress.

Step Three: Stay on point when it comes to the billing and practices of the office. Train your staff about the quickest and most efficient medical codes to use for dealing with insurance claims.

Step Four: Think about adding more services to your clinic. If you decide to offer testing and basic therapy services to your clinic, consider hiring a clinician or doctor to conduct the procedures for outpatients.

Step Five: Now, it's time to begin looking for new patients.
